MERICAN rapper/producer DJ Khaled’s latest album, God Did, has topped the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. The 18-song set includes These Streets Know My Name, a collaboration with Skillibeng, Capleton, Buju Banton, Bounty Killer, and Sizzla.
In an interview with the Jamaica Observer, Capleton was pleased to be part of a second Billboard-topping album by DJ Khaled.
“Well, di feeling is mutual. Dis is not a new thing for Capleton, but it’s always a joy. Our music is di music that speaks for di less fortunate. It also brings hope to di people,” he said.
The Rastafarian singjay shared how the collaboration came about.
“It’s a natural ting. It’s something dat wasn’t planned. In di past I’ve done collaborations with other American acts like Method Man. It’s just natural,” he said.
